When we first moved in Ipoh, Iqa was just beginning the first year of her Primary School years. I can still remember how she looked like..the tiny girl with Chinese eyes and 'China doll' hair style in her school uniform of white tunic blouse and dark blue sarong.
Fast forward after 5 years, she is now no longer tiny but as tall as I am. And today she begins her Secondary School years.
This means she is entering a new era too. More serious academic years are coming to determine her future!
This year, all my three kids are in different schools..Iqa and Najid used to be in the same one. Three different challenges. Najla will start learning reading seriously in kindergarten. We also have started to send Najid to a home-based teacher for one-to-one coaching twice a week in the evenings to prepare him for harder lessons in school.
First day of 2012 school term begins today. And so tomorrow I'll be back to the rat race again!

Iqa tak dapat SBP ye? No worries, she'll do well in sekolah biasa. Smart girls will excel anywhere.
BTW, am I reading her class right, 1 Earth? They're using names of planets, are they?
Oldstock, setakat ni tak dapat..kami pasrah je..like you said sek biasa pun okay. Yup they're using planet names..ada jupiter, lunar dll.
I wish her the best of luck in school. I hope she does real good.
